Meet Doug Davis

As a native of East Tennessee, the seed of interest in Nature was planted by my paternal grandmother. One of my earliest memories is my lamenting the gaping hole pecked by a bird in an otherwise lovely strawberry. Recounting her own upbringing she remembered her own father’s countenance; “Poppa always said you gotta grow enough for them and for you.” Thus imbued with a practical appreciation for the relationships between living things, I was transplanted to the Atlanta area. Extending my roots into the Georgia soils, I broadened my interests in both the aesthetic and function of landscaping. A summer job in a greenhouse whetted my appetite for further knowledge and I majored in Ornamental Horticulture at the University of Georgia. That instruction provided a foundation for decades of experience in the landscape design and contracting field. My education continues to this day. Like planting trees for generations to come, I still have much to give and look forward to being of service.
